For years I have had an account I only use to buy things online or for e-subscriptions. Having a free "spam/junk" account (through Yahoo!, Hotmail, or Gmail) has really been helpful when I apply for free samples or sign up for website feeds.
You might want to consider setting up an email account just for your online transactions. I get very little spam to my home email account.
